Get ready kids! The Library’s Summer Reading Club “Motion Commotion!” will start Friday June 29, 2018.
Come by the Library to sign-up and get your own free notebook to keep track of all the books you read in July & August. Collect fun stickers & bookmarks, and proudly receive your very own Reading Medal at the end of the summer.
Regular reading throughout the summer helps kids maintain or improve reading skills while school is out. Kids are encouraged to read lots of books, and to listen to someone read to them. We look forward to seeing you and your family at the Library this summer.

Exploring the Library Website — with Carmen Oleskevich, Library Manager, Southern Gulf Islands Community Libraries
Wednesday, August 22, 10:30-11:30 am
There’s all sorts of neat things on the Library website — join Carmen at the Piers Island Library/Fire Hall for a presentation touring the Library website, including the library’s eBook and e-Audiobook collection, and online resources such as Language Lessons, Art & Music Lessons, World Foods, and Educational Materials for youth. Questions during and after the presentation are welcome. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn what is available for Piers Library patrons, young and old.
