Sunday Afternoon at the Pender Is. Library presents:

Is there a more pertinent and important topic to us than our weather, and, recently, what appear to be dramatic changes in world weather patterns? It seems as if our weather has gone globally berserk: scorching high temperatures, droughts, floods of Biblical proportion, melting ice, catastrophic storms. What is happening?

On Sunday, October 22nd, at 2:00, come and hear Tony Merry and Bhree Young — both pilots, so you may be sure that weather is a crucial factor to both— give their perspectives on weather patterns in general as well as the strange perturbations that we are now experiencing. Have such phenomena been going on for millennia? Is climate change a “Chinese hoax” as some would have us believe? If it’s real, are we to blame? Is it too late to turn the climate change ship around?

Come, listen, and enjoy these two knowledgeable speakers on a topic that affects each of us, every day of our lives. Bring questions!

As always, coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided. All ages welcome, but come early, as seating is always at a premium.
