An Evening with Alicia Elliott
Don’t miss this brilliant event! The Galiano Library is pleased to invite you to An Evening with Alicia Elliott. Haudenosaunee writer Alicia Elliott’s award-winning 2019 book A Mind Spread Out on the Ground is the inaugural title in our One Book for Galiano reading program. Chosen by a group of Indigenous members of the Galiano community for its resonance and insight, the book has been described as “a bold and profound meditation on trauma, legacy, oppression and racism in North America.”
Tickets are available at the Library and Galiano Island Books starting January 7. Tickets are free but donations are gratefully appreciated to support this and other Indigenous programming at the Library. Patrons must have a ticket to attend.
